What affects your price
Labor-only is the simplest pricing in moving: movers multiplied by hours, with a minimum booking. Two movers handle most apartments and container loads; three or four are worth it for a full house, heavy furniture, or a tight loading window on a rental truck or a POD that has to be released the same day.
Access drives the hours. Stairs, walk-ups, elevator scheduling, and a long carry between the container and the door are the usual reasons a job runs past its estimate. Where the truck or container can legally park makes a real difference in the city.
The rest is the work itself: loading versus unloading versus both, whether you need furniture disassembled or reassembled, in-home rearranging, and how ready the load is when we arrive — boxed, labeled and stacked near the door is faster than a house still in progress. Travel time to addresses outside our core Chicagoland coverage can also apply.
Every move is quoted on its own details rather than a flat rate. Send us the specifics and we will price it against the drivers above.
