Local Movers Serving Chicago and Chicagoland

Apartments in Lincoln Park, condos in the Loop, family homes in Naperville — we know the routes, buildings, and parking rules.

Local Chicago moves come with a unique playbook: tight loading zones, three-flat walk-ups, freight elevator windows, and weather that doesn't always cooperate. Our local crews work in the city every day. We know the routes, the buildings, and the time it actually takes.

Furniture placed, beds reassembled, ready to settle in.

What affects your price

Local moves are priced by time, so anything that adds minutes adds cost. Crew size sets the pace: two movers for a small apartment, three or four for a house. A larger crew costs more per hour but usually finishes proportionally faster, which is why the cheapest quote on paper is not always the cheapest move.

Access is the biggest variable in Chicagoland. Stairs, walk-ups, elevator reservations, long carries from an alley or a shared lot, and blocks where the truck cannot park within sight of the door all extend the day. A permitted parking spot outside a city building can save an hour on its own.

Then: how far apart the two addresses are, how much is packed and ready when we arrive, disassembly and reassembly, and materials. Date matters too — month-end lease turnover and the first weekend of the month fill up first across DuPage and the North Shore, so flexible midweek dates are easier to book.

Every move is quoted on its own details rather than a flat rate. Send us the specifics and we will price it against the drivers above.
